Has anyone (besides me) already started longingly looking at bathing suits? I’ve only been waiiiiiiting to wear one since the December day we got back from Hawaii, when we were greeted by 26 degree weather. Here’s a roundup of my favorite kids suits to save you some shopping time!
Starting with toddlers: we always have Judah in a rash guard– it’s really nice not to have to worry about reapplying sunscreen, and the zip up kind are incredibly easy. On and off with no panic inducing suffocation involved! Just add a swim diaper.
Love this one from Old Navy. It’s priced at $19.94 and if you use the code THANKYOU at checkout you can get it for just $13.96 (+tax).
I’m still loving this Swimzip sunsuit we had last year, but Judah’s current size is sold out. If you’re looking for a 0-24 months full coverage suit, this one was perfect.
This is the one I actually ended up buying from Tea Collection. It comes in sizes 3-6 months all the way up to 4T and it’s absolutely adorable, although their entire swim line this season is pretty darling. So, then… I got this one, too. It’s for any indoor swimming we might be doing when we don’t need to worry about sun exposure. (OK, OK… it’s really because it was too cute to pass up. BUT there might be indoor swimming… you never know…)Next up: little kids. We usually buy a swim suit and a zip front-rash guard for each of our bigger girls, too. Right now I’m loving this two piece from Janie and Jack, and it’s available in size 3-6 months (ohmygosh, how cute would a baby belly look hanging out of this!) all the way up to big girls size 12.Add this Gap zip up rash guard and we’ll be set for summer. On the other hand, this horse print one piece from Rylee and Cru gives me heart eyes. I’m loving the fun, modern print, plus it looks so comfy and fuss-free. It’s available in 3-24 months and 6-9 in big girls sizes, which is always fun for siblings who like matching.
I’m loving the contrasting buttons on this red striped racerback onepiece from Mini Boden! It’s available for sizes 2-6.
I think this is the one we will end up with– it’s pretty much perfect, and you can’t beat $22 for a suit this cute. It’s also from Mini Boden, available in sizes 2-12.
For bigger girls: Georgia has had her mind made up that she wants a one-piece this year, and this one is high on my list. It’s kinda nice that it’s all in one sun protection + cuteness factor, but then again maybe she won’t always want to be in the long sleeved version, so would we end up buying an additional swimsuit for other occasions…? The jury is still out.If you’re on the market for a two-piece, this one from Old Navy is so cute– and it’s $24.94, but you can use the coupon code THANKYOU and snag it for $17.45 (+tax). This particular color combo is already sold out in the smaller sizes, but if you’re looking for a girls size 10-16 you’re in luck. I’m also loving this floral print from Rylee and Cru, and it’s still available in sizes 12-18 months and 6-9 in big girls.
How cute is the contrasting trim on this floral one-piece…! Available from Mini Boden in sizes 2-12! Get one in every size and you’ll never have to go swimsuit shopping again. Ha!
Whew, that’s a lot of time spent talking about bathing suits for girls! I don’t spend much time on the market for boys swimwear, obviously– BUT if I did have a little boy to dress for swimming, I would positively put these little gingham shorties from Minnow on his tushie.
Now, bring on the sunshine! We are ready!
