sand and sun, on repeat

Jake’s best childhood friend, also an ex-JW, moved to Oahu earlier this year. We figured while we were in California it would be the best time to to visit him and his wife, since they were only (only!!) a 5-hr plane flight away. image2

The last time we were here, we had a nearly 2-year-old Georgia and a tiny Philippa growing in my belly. And now look at them, 5 1/2 years later– beneath a rainbow, throwing sand in each others faces.

I have to mention how much I love these SwimZip rashguards, because they have saved us from sunburns countless times. We’ve been using them consistently since last summer and they’ve held up really well. I love them so much that I ordered this full suit for Judah, and it’s so convenient to slip them on, zip them up, and we’re done! They go without them before 9 a.m. or when we walk down to watch the sunset, but other than that all we have to do is swipe their faces with a suncreen stick (we like Babyganics) and they’re all set. No worrying about re-applying suncreen all over their backs and shoulders, it’s just playplayplay the rest of the day. (And oh my gosh, I just saw this- how cute is this pineapple set!)
