I came up with these garland Valentine’s last year while I was on my blogging sabbatical. Since only a handful of people received them, what better time than the present to revive them!
I’m a big fan of clever jokes and corny puns so V-day has become a fast favorite for me. Yep, even anything related to the Day of Love was contraband for those of us who grew up JWs!
My garlands are about 48-inches long with a pom pom every 8-inches or so (5 pom poms total), and an 8-inch tail on each end.
If you make these, you’ll need to slide the pom poms into place when you wrap them on the cardstock, cheating a bit so they won’t be evenly placed but they will all fit on the front side of the paper. The recipient can slide them into place when they unwind the garland from the Valentine. Tape the tail ends of the garland and you can place it in a clear plastic bag if you’d like.
The final product is 9.75 inches by almost 4-inches, so you can easily fit two on an 8.5×11 sheet of cardstock. Make sure you open print settings and mark “scale to fit” and “print entire image”.
I might have another one posted in the next few days, if I can finish it before the 14th. Wish me luck! And Happy Love Day!!
